North shore of Lake Pontchartrain shoreline.  Looking west into Cypress Forest.   Sand has been carried eastward along the shoreline from the mouth of the Tchefuncta River.

Chinchuba Creek.  Looking upstream to the northeast.  This area drains most of Mandeville.  Cypress, Tupelo and other deciduous hardwoods are growing along the banks and floodplain in this area.
